QR codes certainly are everywhere these days. And massively easy to create. Just type ‘QR code creator’ into Google and, whoosh, a host of websites that will create a QR code for you in seconds.
Ahem. The problem with these QR codes is that you have no way of telling how many times it’s been scanned. Sad face. Another problem is that you can’t change the destination of the QR code once it’s been created. Sadder face. If it’s programmed to go to www.cambridgewebsolutions.co.uk, then it will always go to www.cambridgewebsolutions.co.uk. To change it you need to create a new code. This is expensive if you’ve paid for several thousand leaflets to be printed with the old QR code on it. Oh dear face.
Cambridge Web Solutions now offers a QR code service that tells you how many times and when your code was scanned; plus, and this is a BIG PLUS, you can change the destination of the QR code whenever you want. Happy face.
How great is that when you want it to point to your latest special offer or event? Huge grin.
